38th Annual Convention of the Southeastern Synod Women of the ELCA will be held

at the Embassy Suites Hamilton Place, Chattanooga, TN from September 11-13, 2026.

Theme: “Where God Meets Us: Mountain Top Moments”, is based on:

Scripture: Psalm 121:1-2 (I lift my eyes to the hills—from where will

my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.)

Board Member, Pr. Rosy Rivera has written a hymn for our convention using

the tune of “Go Tell it on the Mountain”.

If you have never attended a WELCA Convention or haven’t attended for a while, make

plans to join us this year for worship, workshops, speakers, displays, music, and fellowship. More information will be coming as plans are finalized and will be available on our website.

If you love to shop, this is the ideal place for that. Hamilton Place Mall is one of the largest,

if not the largest, in Tennessee with stores not only inside the mall but also surrounding it. Embassy is also giving us the group rate for Thursday night through Sunday night to give

you time to shop or check out the area before and/or after our convention. And most import

of all, don’t forget that Embassy offers free breakfast and the evening manager’s special.

So “get aboard the Chattanooga Choo Choo”!!!

Convention Registration is slated to open no later than June 1

Room Block Reservations will be available by early March

In Kind Gifts will support “Room at the Inn” that empowers women and children.
Love Offering: Maji: Hope, an organization that builds wells in Africa, so women and
girls no longer must carry water over great distances.
This year, the Board has asked that each cluster submit the name and information about
an organization serving women and girls you would like to see considered for the next
Love Offering. Contact President Phyllis Wade for more information.

· Regular offerings, Love Offerings, LWR Shipping Fund, are sent to our Synodical Women’s Organization (SWO) Treasurer using Form A.

· Thankofferings and Other Gifts are sent directly to Women of the ELCA using Form B.

· Another way to give – Thrivent members may now designate their Choice Dollars to our Southeastern Synod WELCA. Look for Southeastern Synodical Women’s Organization.
